MobyDick Demucking in India

FRUTIGER/MobyDick has been awarded the contract for the design and turnkey construction of an automated vehicle washing plant in India. The project was tendered by India Coal, the largest coal mining company in the world. Coal India operates more than 500 active coal mines and employs more than 250,000 people. Most of its mines are operated as open-pit mines, using the world’s largest vehicles to transport coal and overburden.

MobyDick ConLine KIT Flex 400C in the Czech Republic

FRUTIGER recently completed the installation of a MobyDick ConLine KIT Flex 400 C wheel washing system in the Czech Republic. Specifically designed for the construction industry, the modular system comprises a sturdy four-meter-long washing grid and a recycling tank. For this installation it is combined with a scraper conveyor and MobyDos Compact, with which the the addition of flocculants can be automated. Capable of washing up to 150 medium-dirty trucks per day, this model is an ideal solution for high-volume operations.

ConLine KIT Flex 400B installation in England

FRUTIGER recently installed a wheel washing system for a major construction company in England. The MobyDick ConLine KIT Flex 400B system was tested during site preparation and installation, with customer support playing a crucial role. The team left at 4:30am to avoid delays, and once power and water are connected and final civil works are completed, the system will be ready for use. With a capacity to wash up to 150 moderately soiled trucks, the installation will help keep public roads around the site clean.

Wheel Washing System at a Poultry Farm in Scotland

FRUTIGER recently installed a ConLine KIT Flex 400B wheel wash system at a poultry farm in Scotland. The system was installed to effectively clean incoming vehicles and improve overall hygiene on the farm. The ConLine KIT Flex range, designed specifically for the construction industry, features a robust four-metre wash system and recycling tank. The KIT Flex 400B model can wash up to 150 moderately soiled trucks per day and can be combined with a scraper conveyor, mobility pack or second base unit to form eight different wheel washing systems of four or eight metres in length.

ConLine KIT Plus installation – More power for high demands

This summer FRUTIGER was allowed to install a MobyDick wheel washing system of the type ConLine KIT Plus 800B-50P in Germany. The special feature of this system is the cover of the pump chamber, which was made by the customer, in order to prevent the lees from entering. The additionally installed drainage taps are also worth mentioning, as these massively facilitate the flushing of the modules, and are thus also regularly used by the operating personnel. The system was also equipped with the option ” Fully insulated MobyDos container”. This offers protection against frost, weather and vandalism. The trace heating for the flocculant hose ensures a reliable feed of the temperature-sensitive flocculant into the delivery line of the wheel washing system even in winter.

ConLine KIT Flex 400MC in the Czech Republic

Recently, FRUTIGER was allowed to install another tyre washing system in the Czech Republic, in the CI colours of the customer. Cables run under the site of the system, which is why the above-ground version ConLine KIT Flex 400MC tyre washing system was chosen. In order to make the passage through the washing bay more comfortable, concrete ramps were dispensed with, the passage width of the channel was adjusted to three metres and an additional traffic light was installed. The customer also opted for hot-dip galvanised side walls instead of PVC for the system, which is advantageous for long-term use. The integrated scraper conveyor ensures automated sludge discharge in this system.
For the dry summer months, a load moistening system with recycling water was also installed. The nozzle portal is used for moistening dry, dusty loads. The recycling water used for this comes from the recycling tank of the tyre washing plant.

No matter whether it was a system for the largest Swiss contaminated site clean-up, one in Texas, Germany, Italy, Peru, the Swiss Côte d’Azur (Ticino), near the legendary Wembley Stadium in London or in Rizhao Harbour in China – FRUTIGER was once again allowed to install its MobyDick wheel washing systems in many places around the world in 2022.

Wheel washing system in set of 4

Due to the bulk goods stored on the port area in Rizhao, the wheels and chassis of the vehicles are often heavily soiled, which leads to a constant contamination of the public roads around the port. To counter this problem, the port authority commissioned FRUTIGER China to install various high-performance MobyDick wheel washing systems over a period of several years.
In recent months, four wheel washing systems have been installed again. The total length of this washing line in the port of Rizhao is 34 metres. It includes a 20-metre wash platform and a 14-metre discharge platform. The four wheel washing systems now wash the wheels and chassis of the dirty trucks, ensuring clean roads in the area.

MobyDick Demucking – Rough cleaning of wheeled and tracked vehicles

In addition to the two areas of tyre washing systems and dust binding, FRUTIGER also offers demucking systems. A demucking system, also called a coarse dirt washing system, is not primarily concerned with clean roads, but with the coarse cleaning of construction and military vehicles. The demucking technology makes it possible to automatically remove the majority of dirt from wheeled and tracked vehicles with low pressure and without cleaning agents. In case of high demands on the cleaning result, the automatic rough cleaning can be followed by a fine cleaning with a high-pressure lance. This then takes only a few minutes instead of hours.
