MobyDick Wheel Washing System Installed for Kartuli Cement in Georgia

Kartuli Cement, one of Georgia’s leading cement producers, was experiencing increasing contamination issues caused by clay- and limestone-based ground conditions combined with heavy vehicle traffic. In wet conditions, this led to significant soiling of tyres and chassis, creating higher cleaning requirements and environmental concerns on surrounding roads.

To provide a long-term solution, Kartuli Cement partnered with the global leader in wheel washing technology, Frutiger Company AG (MobyDick). Together, a project-specific system was designed and optimised for the local site conditions.

The system was manufactured in Frutiger’s Czech facility and successfully installed on-site this week with the support of a MobyDick service technician.

The installed MobyDick system includes:
• an 8-meter washing unit
• a 50 m³ water tank
• automatic sludge removal
• the optional “Chassis Wash” module

This configuration ensures effective cleaning of tyres, wheel arches, and the entire chassis, enabling vehicles to leave the Kartuli Cement plant clean, safe, and environmentally compliant at all times.
