FRUTIGER recently installed two MobyDick wheel washing systems for a customer in Texas. Together with the company’s engineers, FRUTIGER looked for the ideal solution for the pollution around their quarry. The decision focused on finding a high washing performance and a suitable recycling concept for the amount of solids produced. The choice fell on the most modern and highest-quality wheel washing system in the world – the MobyDick ONE. In this case, the system was installed in a double pack, each with the Powerflush option. Most of the vehicles that now pass through the wheel wash system are 18-wheel semitrailer trucks, some three-axle dump trucks and belly dump trucks. The two wheel washers now wash the wheels and chassis of around 1200 vehicles per day, ensuring clean roads around the quarry.

Last week FRUTIGER installed a MobyDick wheel washing system “ONE 720” for the first time at a customer in the Czech Republic. The system has a length of 7.2m and has almost 600 washing nozzles to remove the very heavy dirt from the truck wheels. The space between the wheels and mudguards is washed by special powerflush nozzles driven by a separate pump with a capacity of 1800 l/min.
In the following days, the customer will carry out asphalting work around the wheel wash. Thanks to the MobyDick ONE wheel wash system, dirty roads on and around the site are a thing of the past.

A wheel washing system installed in the ground is always better than a mobile version that is set up above the ground. This is because with an above-ground system, all the dirt that is washed off the vehicles has to be pumped into the above-ground tank, which is not necessary with a system built into the ground, as this is done automatically by means of a slope. In addition, above-ground systems are more difficult to drive over and winter safety is reduced. Nevertheless, there are situations, such as pipes in the ground or on bridges, in which only mobile systems can be considered. Here, too, FRUTIGER offers various models that are designed in such a way that smooth mobile operation is also possible. This is also the case with the MobyDick KIT Plus 600 MB system shown in the picture, which was recently handed over to a German customer.

In order to meet all customer requirements, FRUTIGER offers tailor-made solutions. Depending on the customer’s needs and the professional suggestions of the FRUTIGER team, the right wheel wash system is put together for each order. In the in-house ISO certified production facility in China, such a customized system was recently delivered to a customer in Hong Kong. Production, assembly and commissioning was completed within 21 days. FRUTIGER China accompanied the installation and commissioning remotely.

FRUTIGER recently had the pleasure of delivering a MobyDick ConLine KIT Flex 400 MB wheel washing system for hire to a company in Germany specialising in demolition, waste disposal and renovation work. The customer ordered the system with the “MobyDos Compact” option. With the “MobyDos Compact” dosing system, the addition of flocculant can be automated. The infinitely variable setting simplifies correct dosing and allows the flocculant to be fed directly into the washing process. This optimises the mixing of the wash water with flocculant and accelerates the settling process of the dirt particles in the water.

The European production of the MobyDick wheel washing system takes place mainly in the FRUTIGER factory in the Czech Republic. It is therefore even more pleasing to see that the demand for wheel washing systems is also constantly increasing in the Czech Republic. FRUTIGER Czech Republic was recently able to hand over an 8-metre-long mobile wheel washing system of the type KIT Plus 800 Mobile C to a leading construction company in the Czech Republic. Thanks to a special spray arc, the system is not only capable of cleaning the wheels, but also of moistening the load of the trucks in order to avoid excessive dust formation.

In the main pavilion, at the same stand as last time, FRUTIGER showed interested visitors how to keep public roads, the air and heavily polluted construction equipment clean.

FRUTIGER was recently commissioned to install a ConLine KIT Flex 800B wheel washing system for a customer in Germany who manufactures high-quality building materials. The wheel washing systems of the model line KIT Flex stand for highest functionality and easy installation. The stationary model shown here with a passage length of 800cm can easily wash up to 200 heavily soiled trucks per day and now helps to keep public roads clean.
