In 1995, FRUTIGER launched MobyDick Quick, the world’s first wheel wash system that meant that vehicles no longer had to stop for the wheels to be cleaned. This innovation revolutionised wheel cleaning for construction vehicles and, at the same time, marked the start of FRUTIGER’s reign as the world market leader in the field of wheel wash systems. At this year’s Bauma, the Swiss company will present a world first from the field of dust control.

New year, new sales location.
On January 3rd 2019 our new sales office in Pyeong-taek (Korea) opened its doors. FRUTIGER Korea offers our whole MobyDick product range to our usual service and with our know-how of many years. An inspiring moment for the employees, who are looking forward to the new challenge.

FRUTIGER started 11 years ago with the production and sale of MobyDick wheel washing systems in China. The company exhibited at Bauma China for the 5th time.
Thanks to strict laws against dirt and dust caused by construction sites, the market for wheel wash-ing systems in China has developed rapidly. With a consistent focus on quality and functionality, MobyDick has established a strong position in China.”

Known as an innovative swiss construction company, Eberhard Bau AG is also a role model when it comes to protecting people and the environment from harmful dirt and dust emissions around their plants. For decades, the company are relying on the world’s leading wheel washing systems from FRUTIGER. The picture below shows the recent handover of a new MobyDick ONE wheel washing system with a 150m3 recycling tank concept.

Recently the Spanish Branch of FRUTIGER sold a Wheel Washing System MobyDick to Ecuador for “Unión Cementera Nacional” UCEM C.E.M. The company which depends to the Government runs several cement plants in Ecuador. As an innovative company, UCEM invested in a modern MobyDick Wheel Washing System KIT Flex 400C to keep the streets around their concrete plant clean. The machine was built up in summer 2018 and put into operation in past October. UCEM is very satisfied with their wheel washer and will probably purchase some more systems from FRUTIGER in the future.

The Indian Trade Fair for Mining and Mechanical Engineering held its 14th exhibition in the city of Kolkata. FRUTIGER India took this opportunity to introduce the innovative MobyDick product range to the numerous representatives of renowned mining companies. We thank all visitors for the great interest and the many technical discussions.

Another MobyDick wheel wash system was recently delivered for the customer «Golf World» in England. The system will be used in a construction project, with 9-hole golf course being expanded into an 18-hole golf course, which includes the construction of a new hotel and business center. The mobile system will be moved several times during the deployment period at the project site and will be also temporarily used as a stationary system (in the ground). The installation of the system took only a few hours and the customer is very satisfied with the washing performance of the system.

Friday, 12/22/2017 we celebrated our annually Christmas Dinner. We met in Winterthur on the beautiful landscape of hills in the restaurant “Eschenberg.” The path among the forest led us through a narrow street surrounded by firs and trees. Once we arrived, we could enjoy an aperitif. Since it was very cold and rainy, the mulled wine was exactly what we needed to rehash. Afterwards we enjoyed a tasty “Fondue Chinoise” with plenty of sides in a great location – a converted cowshed!
