Mobile wheel washing systems have the advantage over systems permanently installed in the ground, that no major excavation is required, and the system can therefore be set up within only a few hours. However, since mobile systems also have disadvantages, FRUTIGER recommends the use of mobile systems only for shorter operations or if, for example, an installation in the ground is not possible due to pipelines. For a new building of the renowned Shepperton Film Studios in Shepperton (UK) a mobile system of the type ConLine KIT Flex Mobile C was requested by the customer and installed within a few hours by the MobyDick installation team. Once power and water are connected, up to 100 trucks can be cleaned daily to avoid pollution of public roads.

For around 30 years, a MobyDick wheel washing system has been ensuring clean roads around the landfill site of a renowned remediation and waste disposal company near Leipzig. In recent days, the MobyDick system, which was getting on in years, was replaced by a new model. Thanks to comprehensive consultation, careful planning and an experienced installation team, the replacement was completed within a few days. The existing foundation and some components that are still in good condition will continue to be used in the future and do not have to be purchased again. Thanks to high quality, long-standing partnerships and a comprehensive service network, MobyDick wheel washing systems, which are still in daily use with well over a million washing operations, are no exception but can be found in many places!

FRUTIGER recently supplied and installed a high-performance wheel washing system of the ConLine KIT Flex model line for the concrete plant of a renowned concrete manufacturer in Avellino (Italy). A high-quality and fully galvanised MobyDick washing module, in combination with a 20m3 recycling tank, has since then ensured the reliable cleaning of all trucks leaving the plant. The pollution of the public roads in the vicinity has decreased considerably, which increases road safety and makes the residents particularly happy.

Our New Zealand partner, Condor Pumps, was recently awarded a contract to supply a MobyDick KIT Flex 400B wheel wash system with integrated water recycling system for up to 100 trucks per day. for the Sleepyhead Estate Project in Ohinewai, North Waikato NZ. We are proud through our partner with MobyDick to be part of such an incredible project for Waikato, creating around 2,600 new jobs and investing $1.2 billion in the region.

For one of the biggest construction and aggregate companies in the U.K, FRUTIGER has recently installed a MobyDick ConLine KIT Flex Kit Flex 400 Mobile C system on an exit road with limited space. The tank was installed through a fence so two-way traffic could pass. The mobile Kit Flex 400 wheel washing system is perfect for up to 100 trucks per day and can be set up and commissioned within only a few hours. The perfect solution for short assignments or if the system has to be moved frequently.

A few days ago, FRUTIGER UK was able to commission another Wheel Washing System MobyDick ConLine KIT Flex with a length of 4 metres. In this installation, the wash water is not treated in the recycling tank as usual, but is connected to the customer’s water treatment system by a 25-metre long pipe. From there, the treated water is fed back into the MobyDick recycling tank to be used for cleaning the vehicles. FRUTIGER is always happy to take on such and other special requirements and implement them in close consultation with the customer.

FRUTIGER recently had the pleasure of commissioning a MobyDick ONE wheel wash system at a leading ballast and gravel works in the northern Black Forest region. The 720 cm long system cleans the wheels of the departing trucks during two full revolutions. The Powerflush option provides additional cleaning of the mudguards. Worthy of special mention is the generous water recycling system with a capacity of around 150m3, which ensures optimum recycling of the wash water even with high truck frequencies.

Usually, it is necessary to install a Wheel Wash System on a flat surface so that the water recirculation into the recycling tank of the washing system works properly. However, there are exceptional situations where an installation on a straight surface is not possible for various reasons. Such a situation was presented to FRUTIGER recently at a tunnel construction site, where a Wheel Wash System was required on a single-lane entrance and exit ramp with a slope of over 10%. Thanks to the experience gained from the production of several thousand Wheel Washing Systems, FRUTIGER was able to develop, manufacture and install a suitable system on site within only a few weeks.

For the construction of a hotel and the remodelling of a golf course the responsible construction company in England ordered a wheel washing system MobyDick ConLine KIT Flex Mobile B from FRUTIGER. Apart from a small steel tank, this system can be set up completely above ground and is therefore ideally suited for applications with pipes in the ground or in cases where the systems have to be moved frequently.
